Hi, I'm new to the site...well this site, I was formerly on Chins-N-Quills way way back.
I had a chinchilla a few years back. She was one of the most fun critters I'd ever had and gave me great enjoyment for over a decade (and we have no idea how old she was when I got her, other than she was grown).
I miss having a little critter in our household. Somehow even with 3 cats and a corgi it seems a little empty.
September 28th I'll be getting married to the best woman on earth, I'm absolutely lucky to have found her. She's decided, (without much prodding) that we should add a hedgehog to our little zoo; as well as another corgi.
I've been doing research for the past few months and we're 100% sure we can take on a hedgie. We've been put on the waiting list for a local breeder and we're starting to pick up things here and there so we'll have everything ready for when our little hoglet is ready.
I'm beyond excited about this, which is why I come here, for more education and ideas of what to get/do for our future little prickly pig.
As excited expectant parents we've even picked out a name. Phoenix Quilliams; that is, if we end up with a boy...
So yea... that's it, ohh and I'm Hunter btw.
