Hetero beiges that look like **** beiges?

Apparently, my new guy that I got this weekend is actually a hetero beige. He has all the classic **** features: jelly bean red eyes, light creamy color, etc. I'm still waiting on the pedigree on him, but his breeder said that one of his parents were a standard, making him a hetero beige.

He fooled quite a few people into thinking he was a **** beige, and out of curiosity I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this happen before?

It happens all the time. I personally think he's too dark for a **** beige. I have a girl who was lighter than that the breeder called her a **** beige, she had beige on both sides of her pedigree, but her first litter we found out she wasn't because she threw a mosaic.

Either way he's pretty cute!

I've had **** beiges that dark, but never a hetero beige that light. Mine tend to be the darker violet-hued hetero beiges.

His veiling is quite stunning!

As someone obsessed with **** beiges, I don't think he looks like a **** beige. He's definitely a hetero. Still 100% adorable though!

I know now that he's a hetero and I'm not questioning that, but I wasn't the only one fooled thinking he was a **** beige. Several other people that saw him at the show thought he was a **** beige until his breeder told us otherwise. Maybe it's just more of a in person thing than what the picture can capture. I think the picture without flash shows his true color the most.

And yes I do agree he is cute.

I know what you mean, I had a **** beige that just had two babies, and they are hetero beige....since their father is a violet but BOY they look like their mama!

Beiges are the ones that throw me for a loop still. I don't even know the difference between hetero and ****... I don't even know what my Kirby is besides CUTE! Just like your newbie! Does he have a name yet?>
