My parents told me that were moving to Dubai in a few months.
I am crying like crazy because I don't know what to do with my one year old female chinchilla I had since she was a baby. :cry3:
Well, I really really want to take her with me, but am I doing it for her or me?
I need some advice and help!
I am a 14 year old girl, so I don't have any responsible adult friends. None of my friend can take her.
Will my chinchilla be able to live in Dubai?
Is there anyone else on here you live in Dubai who can help me out?!
Should I take her or how will I find a responsible living forever home?
If I can take her what will I need? Travel cage: etc
I just need help I can't even think im so sad. :tantrum:

I know of people with chins in Saudi Arabia and they are able to provide their chins with food and vet care without too much of a problem. I don't know of anyone in Dubai with chins, but I am sure you can take her with you there. There may be some restrictions, the airline you are flying should be able to help you with this.

One of the problems that I can see is that depending on when you go there may be some restrictions because it may be too warm there for them to allow you to take animals with you. I'd ask the airline about that and see if there is any way around it...like you could take ice packs with you, take the chin in the cabin with you when you fly, etc.

You definitely will need a good travel carrier and a health certificate. You will have to satisfy the customs officials in Dubai, so you'll have to find out what forms and information they need from you beforehand. It's going to be a little bit of work to take her with you...but she'll be alright if you do. It is a VERY long trip though.

Thanks, Do you recommend any travel cages? I have one, but my chinchilla likes to tear up the bottom fabric part. and I think were going on Emirates. There website said no animals in-cabin. Can she go in cargo its like a 13 hour flight!

I would be concerned for a chin in cargo on a 13 hour flight. Ive read horror stories about peoples dogs having heat strokes, I couldnt imagine risking it with a chin. I would contact the company, and ask about the temp etc. Good luck.

Yeah, I'd only want to do it if it is possible to take the chin in the cabin the whole time. There's too much opportunity for the chin to get lost. It's bad enough when chins are shipped here and end up in Atlanta. :(

A small metal carrier would be best for sure.

Ok, i'm really worried about her dying now... I'm really sad and I just want the best for her. Maybe I can find someone on here to have her that lives near me. :( I just want her to go to someone who is an experienced adult. Because i'm scared to give her to a kid in case they get bored of her. Do you think its best to find her a new home? What would you do?

Thanks, I think It's best to find her a new home.. :( I don't want to give her away till at least a week or so before i'm leaving, so I can have as much time as I can with her. Do you know anyone responsible looking for a chinchilla in the Vancouver area? :( I'm in tears right now, but I just want the best for her. :(
