So my chin (zoe) has been chewing the zip ties that I have holding up her perches in her cage... she has NEVER done this until now and I do not know what to do in order for her to stop?? I have had to re-attach the perch multiple times and 2 times today... Can someone help me!!!

Use something other than zip ties. If she's chewed them once, she'll continue to chew them. You need to find another way to support them. She's not going to stop.

yea.. their not goign to stop. Iv been trying for months to get them not to chew certin things when their out of the cage.. it doesnt happen lol

It will stop if you remove the temptation or remove THEM from the temptation.

If you can't find another way to adhere the perches they do make metal zip ties....not sure if they would word for what you are doing but it's an option.

I would worry about anything shaped like a zip tie, the chin could get the incisors stuck or have the incisors trying to take of the zip tie and get spooked, then no more incisors.

use hanger bolts, washers, and butterfly nuts to attach your ledges (wood) to the cage. there is at least one thread on here on how to do it.
