I'm not sure how often I'll be posting, but I thought I'd join up since this seems like a fun community for chinchilla owners 
I have three chinchillas, Esper, Arwen and Scully. All three are female and I have no plans to expand in the future, and definitely no plans to add any males (I'll leave breeding to the experts). Esper and Arwen are twin girls, and I often wonder if they are identical! They are **** eb's and the only way we know the difference between them is that I snip Arwen's tail hair a bit regularly...otherwise they are VERY hard to tell apart! After we got Arwen and Esper, the breeder had a little of violet wrap girls born. Violet wrap is my favorite color of chin, so I had to grab one of the girls up. Now all three of them live happily in their chinchilla mansion. I love these girls, they are such characters! Scully is the wildest of the bunch, and is not fond of being handled, though we're working with her. Esper begs to be let out of the cage to play and be held, while Arwen is somewhere in between personality wise. And yes, these three chinchillas have three nerdy names, which just adds to their "cool" factor ;-)
