Hi everyone, I've mostly been posting in the emergency forum unfortunately but thought I should hop over here and re-introduce myself.
My name is Jess, I'm the owner of one sweet little extra dark ebony chinchilla named Sammie and my toothless, clawless orange tabby cat, Cubby (the lack of teeth and claws are Sammie's favorite part... although really Cubby is more scared of Sammie than vice-versa, Sammie chases him a little...). Oh, and we also live with my boyfriend, he's pretty cute too... hehe...
I used to be pretty active on CnH when it was CnQ but lost track during a bunch of moves and career changes and the like. So I just came back this past week while Sammie's been having some issues with stasis/bloat/infection/who knows what. It's quite an ordeal, but hopefully one that won't go on much longer.
Previously I had another chinchilla, Frankie, who was a gorgeous little white ebony guy; he unfortunately passed away back in 2008 after an awful fight with Sammie. I also, in high school, had a pet hedgie named Snuggles, but had to give him to a friend when I moved away for college and then lost touch with her. I think I'm better suited to chinnies, though... some like it hot, but I like to keep things cool. :laughitup:

A few months after I got him (12/2007)
All grown up, earlier this week at the vet. He's a big guy -- I think the vet said 780g as of last night...
(06/2013) And that's when he's not feeling well!
So... Glad to be back. Hopefully for a while this time!!
