Hello Everyone!!
My name is Jess and I am from Ohio!! I am a recent graduate with a bachelors in Zoology so clearly animals are my life and my passion for good!
I rescued my two chinchilla boys about almost 3 years ago now. I grown an interest in them when I worked at a pet store and rehabilitated a little guy. Since I am a sucker for rehab and saving I actually rescued my two chinchillas from craigslist. They are the best, even with their personal problems from being rescues I wouldn't trade them for the world!!
INTRODUCING THE CHINCHILLAS!!
Freddy Mercury! (Freddy)
Freddy Mercury is a standard grey but a much darker standard grey then the usual. He is around 8 years old. He is seriously the most friendly, laid back, relaxed dude ever. He lets you pet him, hold him and basically anything. In the cage he is even more relaxed but the minute it is play time he is running around happy and playful.
WolfGang Mozart! (Wolfie)
Okay. This trouble maker. He is a white mosaic with the most adorable gray markings on his face and a beautiful gray tail with a white tip. He is MUCH larger then Freddy actually. Wolfie is 5 years old and has been with Freddy his whole life. This guy is my trouble child. Because of this spoiled boy I am always out buying new toys, rotating them out, anything to keep him mentally stimulated. He has weird quirks with him. Wolfie is extremely social, you open the cage he will come right up to you and paw at you but petting him is ONLY on his time. He HATES being held so playtime is always a war and an issue but I am starting to adapt more to Wolfie's lifestyle and you can most certainly see the personality differences between the two. Wolfie is also a nonstop bar chewer for attention... -___-
But there yah go!! These are my two boys! Two completely different chinchillas, I am pretty sure they are two completely different species of chinchilla due to ear length, tail length and the snouts.
Opinions/thoughts?
