Hey, I'm new here!
My name is Sheena and I'm from Montreal, QC. I'm a Design student at Concordia University. I also own a small business, I make cards and other paper things. I have a passion for design, crafting, photography and criminology.
I've had a lot of pets in the past. I had a couple rats, mice, hamsters, and of course cats. A week ago I got my first chinchilla, which is my first pet in close to 8 years.
Before getting Chester, we actually found an orphaned baby squirrel and took him in. He was 4 weeks old when we found him and barely had his eyes open. He was so little and so frightened. Animal Advocates told us to put him down, but I refused. We had him for a week and a half before we found a rehabber to take him for the winter, and it broke my heart to give him up. But hand feedings and everything was really too much for me to handle with my busy schedule, so it was definitely for the best. Squirrels aren't pets (though they're legal to own in Quebec), and don't make good pets, but I do miss my little baby Sweets!
After we gave Sweets away, we were left with a very large cage and I was left with needing something to care for (probably some form of maternal instinct lol). So, after extensive research I decided I would get a chinchilla! I love my little Chester, and I'm very eager for him to get used to me!
So... that's just about everything.
I'm very happy to have found this forum!
