Hello everyone. We plan on picking up a couple chins this Friday. This will be the first time in about 20 years I have tried to keep a small mammal alive. I have picked up a couple books, and have looked at a bunch of breeder sites, and have found almost everything to be in contradiction. Some tell you to feed one type of grass, others another. Others forbid what some say is the best. I guess I will just lurk on here and try to figure out what is best.

Welcome to Chins and Hedgies!!! You will find the best information here. There's alot of great people here as well!

Coincidence

Kind of funny that the first response is from the breeder I am going to buy from...And that I just found this forum without her telling me.

Welcome! Personally, I've found if your books are from petstores, they generally do not contain much helpful information. Stacie has put together a really nice site - chinnation.com.

Hi and welcome! I got my first chin a couple of years ago, and CnQ back then, now CnH have really be informational and helpful. You will meet a lot of people here who own a lot of chins and really do know how to care for them properly, and will gladly share their knowledge with you. Congrats on the future chins, and we would love to see pics when you get them :)

Hey! I have read quite a few chinchilla books and apparently, most of them are giving lots of incorrect information. I have only been on this forum for less than a month, and I have learned a TON of new info. Good luck with your new chins and do some snooping around here and I'm sure you'll find the information you are looking for.

:welcome5:
