Hello..but help on health issues

Hi,
I own 2 chinchillas... one I have had for 2 years and one I purchased in November from a breeder. The little guy I just got started losing hair around his nose area only. It is not fur slip or ringworm ( I had him tested for that). The vet just said it might be self inflicted. But just recently my other chin now has a funky growth with a bald spot around it . It almost looks like a human skin tag just long and skinny. Any ideas on what this could be?

From what I understand, not all fungus is ringworm. Has it spread at all on the first chin? Or has it not really gotten bigger, but the second chin has it now as well?

Any way for you to post pictures for us to look at?

picture of chin

Hopefully I got this picture sent... It started on Whiskers and has spread only around the nose... But now we found spots on cuddles but on her body. If this picture came through...this was back in January and it is a little bigger now. I will try to take pictures tomorrow.

I am willing to look at it like I said. I am hoping here someone can offer more insight to me from the picture it looks like a fur pull, which can take a long while to grow back.
