We have been fostering a 12 year old chin for 2 years now. When I first did my research it seemed overheating was the big concern in terms of environment.

Chili shares a room with our guinea pig. The room is comfortable for me to be in in a t-shirt. It is "winter" here (means rain in this neck of the woods) and can dip below 0 celcius at night outside.

Chili likes to site on the wall register in the room. It doesn't get terribly hot, I'm not worried about her burning herself, but am wondering why she seeks out the heat. Typically her feet are cold enough to say "cold feet" if she is on your bare skin, but after being on the radiator they are a comfortable "normal" warmth feeling.

She had done this for quite a long time. Should I be concerned?

If she seeks out the vent, and doesn't move away from it, I wouldn't be overly concerned. If she could not move away from it but was pretty much stuck there due to cage location or whatever, then I would make some changes in the layout of the room.

Thankyou. She seeks it out, it had me wondering if I should move her cage closer.

I have some oldies here who love their heat mats. I keep them on for them all year round - as long as they can get away from the gentle heat if/when they want to I don't think them hogging the warmth is problem. I guess it is like us, when we get older we like to keep our old bones warm. :)
