... and the Dynamic Duo!
Adam recently (as in April 30) graduated from NAIT as an Architectural Technologist. He was offered a job today at a home building company. He interviewed last Wednesday and they called him into the office today to formally offer him the job. He's not making quite what he wanted - he asked for $20/hr and they're paying him $17/hr + profit sharing (which equals the same amount, when you think about it)... but it's such a relief that he landed a job so quickly. The economy isn't horrible, but it's definitely not a job seeker's market like it was two years ago.
He's completely thrilled. He phoned me to tell me, and he barely waited until I'd answered the phone to blurt out, "I got the job!". He was so worried about money and now, things are going to get a little easier. We managed to live just fine on my salary for the last month and so, but I'm definitely looking forward to being able to put more money in savings.
I'm just so excited! And plus - they're giving him about a week and a half off for the wedding - a few days before and a week after. I think it will be sans pay, but that's okay.
