So coming in September we have reboots of 2 GREAT 70's shows! The Rockford Files with Dermot Mulroney and Aland Tudyk

AND >>>>>>>>>>>>

Hawaii 5-0 WITH ALEX O'LOUGHLIN and Daniel Day Kim.

Which one do you think will make it? Which was was your favorite as a kid?

Okay OF COURSE I want Alex's show to do well, BUT seriously CBS should have gone with my suggestion for a show for him. But since they didn't and he's playing Steve McGarrett who was original played by Jack Lord who I had a crush on you--yes can you say Elvis lookalike? you can because Jack Lord stole Elvis' hair or vice versa. My sister, Lisa, loved Danno--played by James McArthur--in any case we loved this show!

But I was also a huge Rockford Files fan--I mean come on! How could you not be? I like Dermot and Alan so I'd like to see this show do something too.

What about a Beretta reboot? Or Police Woman???! Earl Holiman I miss you!

No remakes of The Six Million Dollar Man for me though--no one can really ever replace Lee Majors!

Honestly? I don't think either of them are going to make it. They original stars were outstanding in their roles and the shows themselves were geared for a different time. They are going to try and update it and make it current, and I don't think it's going to work. They are going to be just two more cop shows in a loooong list of cop shows.

I loved the Rockford Files, and there is no one who can do that like James Garner, just like I thought the remake of Wild, Wild West was horrible. You just can't replace those old timers. They were gruff and snarky and manly men. Dermot Mulroney? Egads. Not a chance. I just can NOT see Alex as Steve McGarrett either. He doesn't have the voice, the demeanor, the same presence.

As for Beretta? Nobody better touch that one. I might have to retire my TV if they did.

I hope for your sake it sticks around for at least a little while, but I don't think in the long run that either of them will last.

I loved the Wild Wild West!!!! And yes the movie sucked so bad! Seriously Will Smith is good but he is no Robert Conrad! Actually I love Robert Conrad and loved Baa Baa Black Sheep too!

I doubt either of these will make it. I'm banking on The Backup Plan being a huge hit for Alex and he'll move to movies instead of tv series. UNLESS CBS wants me original idea for him--now that would be a great show! TRUST ME LOL!
