I have a big ebony girl named Nyota. She is a big fan of spraying when someone reaches for her. I had noticed that, in general, if the chinchilla cannot stand upright, spraying was useless. They just get themselves wet. That was until a couple of months ago. Nyota was on the top shelf and could not stand upright. Instead of just making a mess, she lifted her leg and sprayed like a male dog. It was so funny I had to sit down until I finished laughing at her. She has become just as accurate with this method as she is with standing upright. Has anyone else seen a chin do this?
