Hair Styles?

Hey guys. Well, Saturday I'm taking my sister to get her hair cut for the first time, ever. She's only ever had the dead ends trimmed off at home, and she's 14 years old lol. So, Saturday I'm taking her to get her hair cut! So, we're in need of some styles! She wants a layered look that falls just above the shoulders at it's longest point, but is open to suggestions. She also wants something that will make her look a bit older (nothing TOO drastic haha), but not so 'childish' anymore. She's always had just straight, long, down the back hair, all one length. She's a dirty blonde.

She's the one in the striped shirt for an idea of her face structure. Thanks for any help, guys

Well, it's two days away and she still has no clue. So we'll be talking to the stylist on Saturday and going from there... lol and I'll definitely post pics.

lol yeah you do! feel free to look at the pics! my hair grew out about 3inches in a month and half though.. so I'll be going back Saturday & getting something a little different done. You sister would look really good with shorter hair though!

I just cut my hair to shoulder length and I hair dry it under so it has more body since it likes to lay flat. I'd be interested in seeing the layered look...

Rebecca, I have no idea. I think it's one of those computerized mock-parenting babies.

Fair enough, haha. I would get her hair tapered around her face and turing inwards to help frame it. At its longest I would have it maybe two inches past her shoulders.

I did, Alexis. She likes the black and white one in your '09 album. So I think we're going with something like that.

Well, here goes! She went a totally different way then originally intended, as you can tell...

Before, after, and her pony tail on the counter... We also highlighted her hair when we got home. It turned out looking super-cute, in our opinions. Even my step-dad who hates short hair, said she's cute so she can pull it off.

Wow, she's all grown up! It's a great look on her and it does help give her that "older" look. Does she like it, being that it is so different from before? I hope she does, because she looks beautiful.

She does. She had a huge grin on her face the entire time, while my uncle's gf and I were going "omg...." Lol it's different for sure, but she's enjoying it.
