I groomed my first chins tonight. :dance3:

I went to the York show, and Monika and Jan taught me how to do it, so I figured I would try it out on my kids. I brushed five of them with the #3 comb. A couple of them squirmed a lot, one got away from me, (I got her back quickly) and the other two seemed to not mind at all. :) The three of them who really didn't like it are really mad at me now - back in the cage pouting :(

Overall, though, I think I did an OK job. No fur slipping! YEAH!! I figure I will do a few each night until they are all done. By the time of show season next year - hopefully I can groom decently.

I do know my young violet male looks 100% better. I think he just might be showable next season. :)

Awesome Shelly!
I think grooming is so much fun. My husband has officially asked for a set of his own combs and some instruction before our next show so he can help. York did something good!

Awesome! Now if I could get Collin to agree to that . . .

Awesome! :)) I just groomed for the first time at York too and I was sooo worried about messing up, lol. It's actually not as hard as it looks, but it does get stressful when you know the comb is pulling at the fur and you're just waiting for it to slip, lol.

congrats Shelly...And Dee boy your guy got bit by the bug bad huh?? Your a lucky girl
