Hey guys,

We've had our little Woodrow for a month now so we had to change over the food/hay the breeder gave us. We're doing the gradual change from his old pellets to Oxbow, we've gotten to where he gets 50/50 of each and we switched his hay over to SunNaturals sweet grass timothy hay, which we started on Monday. This morning when I went to give him his good morning scritches I noticed he had a mix of the normal dark brown it usually is and then some green ones. I changed his bedding last night so I know everything in there is new. None of the poos are mushy and his little tushy and feet are clean and he's acting perfectly normal. I hope it's just because of the food change but I just wanted to make sure. He ate his whole bin of hay last night which I was told can change his poo too. Just want to make sure he's ok!

Thanks!

as long as he's eating/pooping/drinking/peeing and is not lethargic and his poops are only a different colour and not smooshy or dry with air pockets in them, i would say it is from the change in food as well as eating a lot of hay like you say he did last night.

my Guss had a few green poops when he came home and got cold switched to good hay and oxbow. it was for a couple of days only, and i didn't worry at all - the poops were perfectly normal looking, just not brown.

i'm sure he'll be fine :))
