Grapevine wood

Hi,

I have some grapes to prune and I want to use the wood for my chinchilla to use. I know that I need to bake them but I dont know at what temperture and for how long. Anyone know how to proceed? I read somewhere for 30 mins at 300 degrees.

I would say 200 or 250. You don't want them to burn or your chin won't want it.

You have to scrub and boil the wood as well.

I'm prepping grapewood right now. I've been doing 225 for 1.5 - 2 hours. You may want to boil the wood too, to kill any bacteria.
