I'm curious, would it be alright for me to bring my chin's cage outside and put it in the shade while I'm out there? I'd like for her to get fresh air, and as I live in a basement apartment, that's not an option inside. I open my little windows, but they don't do much.
Is it better for her to stay in the cool dry basement at all times, or would it be alright for her to get a little supervised fresh air?

Thanks!

I would keep her inside. Drafts are not healthy anyway, and it is not unusual for the temperature to reach 80 degrees or more in the shade outside.

I'm in New England. Springtime it stays in the low sixties and is dry. I would never consider bringing her out in the heat

much safer if you don't bring your chin outside. Instead of outside, what if you bring your chin upstairs - in a small carrier - and have it close to an open window for some fresh air as long as it isn't too drafty. That might be a safer alternative.

Yeah, I would leave her inside if I were you. Much safer. Try and get a window open close to her. Fresh air is good, but as long as there is no breeze. Plus chin's aren't supposed to have direct sunlight. :)
