Getting a new chin tomorrow

We are probably getting a 5 month old Black Velvet tomorrow. The breeder we got Poppy from contacted me (as she knows I've wanted a BV for ages) to say she is selling the young girl and did I want her (I think she's not great breeding quality, but is healthy and so is being sold on as pet only) The breeder mentioned that she has some "colouring up" to do, I cant find any information on colour development and wondered if someone might be able to shed some light on what this means! and if possible would someone have before and after pictures of a chin developing its colour.

Happy New Year to you, too. Often, a black velvet gets darker as they age. a lot of them start of with a slightly darker face and back. As time goes on the dark areas will grow and darken.
