A over a month ago ago I got my second chinchilla. The older one is almost exactly year older than the younger. Ive been keeping them apart cause they had a little fighting problem after the second week, older chinchilla was very dominant and bit younger. Also I put them in the bathroom when trying to let them interact. After a week of having their cages closer i tried again. There was a mounting attempt and a nipping. So now on week five and their cages are almost flush and i can occasionally hear them squeaking to each other. I dont know it thats good or not. Am I going about this all wrong or is my older chin reasonably dominant?
