Gas Drops

I was wondering how many ml of gas drops should be given. Everything I've ever read just says a dropper full, but not all droppers/syringes are the same.

you just give a full dropper. The size doesnt matter, simethicone isnt a medicine that can overdose a chin. It just coats the stomach and intestines. You cant really give them to much.

A "dropper full" is generally 1 mL.

1 to 2 mls is fine. I like to use the Phazyme (or the much cheaper store brand) that is 100% simethicone so that I only have to get a drop or two into the chin instead of a full dropper. That way a lot more simethicone actually gets in without the added liquid and flavorings....I find it very easy to mix it in with critical care or other liquid feeding supplements.

The syringe (not a dropper) that came with the gas drops I bought only goes to 0.6ml, which I found a bit odd.

I actually bought unflavored gas drops because she seems to like them more than flavored. She takes them with any trouble at all, luckily.

I've never heard of Phazyme, but good to know there is another option out there.
