Well, I regret to inform all of you guys that Furby seems to have relapsed into being sick. Well, maybe not sick sick, but he's losing weight again. He's somewhere in the 400's now, and his fur chewing is getting worse. I could start handfeeding him again, nothing in the room has changed or vaired, feed is the same... But he feels real thin, and I'm not altogether sure what to do about it. he eats and he drinks, his poop looks fine, he was at the vet recently for some dryness on his feet, but that turned out to be solve-able by some bag balm. I'm not sure what kind of help I'm looking for, I never give him supplements or treats because otherwise he won't eat his food. Attached is a photo of him, kind of propped up on my hand, you can see how bad his fur looks and such. I'm at such a loss. He has no wheel/chin spin in his cage either.

He's active, hyper, loves scritches... nothing seems to be wrong with him except for the weight loss.

I'm not familiar with Furby's history so forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere but he has had full body xrays done? Bloods?

he's had a full set of x-rays in the last couple months and numerous fecal tests. i took him in, and although we didn't do x-rays he had a fecal test come back negative for parasites and excess bacteria. He had his teeth examined and they were determined to be fine, and nothing seems to be off with his eating. if it were I would definitely be getting x-rays on his stomach.

have you tried the Beaphar plus food?? i get mine from partnerspets.com
it is about $50 with shipping to the US so i am not sure what it would cost to get to you.
i have had great success with both my dental chin as well as other chins would are either too picky or were too stressed with their previous enviroment and all have done quite well on it. just a thought.

There are two parts to a full blood panel, the chemistry screen for enzyme function and complete blood count checking for white and red blood counts. Parts that are checked are BUN and creatinine check for kidney disfunction, renal issues or urinary problems, a ALT test checks for liver function, calcium level, sodium, potassium and chloride levels are effected by certain diseases and body functions, the white blood cell count for infections and inflamation, globulin checking for antibodies in the blood, hematocrit to measure of the amount of red blood cells to check for dehydration or anemia.
