Fur Chewing

So yesterday I got my chinchilla and today I realized she has been picking at her fur and then eating it.
Why do you think this is?

Does the chinchilla have lots of toher things to chew such as apple wood?

Sometimes a chin just is a furchewer. It can be caused by stress, boredom or nothing at all. It could be that she's stressed.

I would leave her be and make sure she has a lot of things to keep her busy in her cage.
