A local feed store near me can order this at 50lbs for $20. I have never heard of the brand and did a search and came up empty. Anyone ever heard of it? I am familiar with Blue Cloud (which is what I use) Blue Sparkle and Sweet PDZ.

Before I spend the cash and subject the chinnies to it wanted to get some input first.

Ah yes. I've used it.
I believe the main ingredient is calcium carbonate. If I recall correctly, that's all it is.
It's safe to use and has been around for quite a while now. It's just never really gained much in popularity....and it's rather expensive to purchase in those canisters.

yes, i have tried that before.
It is white in color and very powdery and it choke my aircon.
I agreed it must be some substance like fuller earth.

Many limestone dusts have been used in the past. Some led to skin and chewing problems so people got away from them. I do not have any info on this particular dust but have emailed them to get more info on it and possibly try it.

Calcium carbonate is lime.

Calcium oxide (CaO) or calcium hydroxide (CaOH) is lime. Quicklime can be produced by using Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and taking it through a heating process. Limestone can contain calcium carbonate, but is generally a composition of many calcium-containing minerals.

Calcium carbonate is what you get when you buy calcium supplement pills. Chalk also contains calcium carbonate. Cuttlebones are mostly calcium carbonate.

I wouldn't think it would make a very effective dust though.
