Flying Saucer help

I purchased a flying saucer wheel for my chinchilla back in november, but he has yet to figure out how to use it. He is about 8 years old and his previous owners had a large hamster wheel in his cage for him to run on (terrible, I know). So I was wondering if there were any suggestions on how to get him using it?

Sometimes it takes a while for them to figure out the saucer. I think it took about 8 months for Rosie to start using the one I have... that could be because Sophie is always on it and isn't good at sharing, but...

Just give it some time, I'm sure he'll start experimenting with it eventually.

None of my 5 chins loved the saucer like they love their chinspin. You could try sprinkling some oats sparsely around the rim to get your chinnie to navigate it.
