Ok, I have already gotten some fleece and I wrapped one of my shelves and a piece of cardboard with it. The cardboard is under my chins hidey house. Anyhow, I was wondering what people are using in order to make the fleece lined tubes and how they sew it. My mom has a sewing machine and is pretty amazing with it. I just don't know how to do it. So, what supplies do I need to get, ie the tube part, and where do I find it? How long and what diameter?

Ok, I am sure that it may be easier just to order one, BUT I already have my Chicago Bears fleece, that I love, and I haven't seen anyone that is offering NFL teams, or any team for that matter.

Thanks!

I usually use the xl chubes that you can buy at pet stores. They are about 6" diameter x 10" length. Some people also use PVC pipes. If you want to hang it you can buy carriage bolts and wingnuts and washers at a hardware store. The carriage bolts go through the tube and then you put on a washer and wingnut after you place where you want in the cage. I find 1 1/2"-2" washers work best.

What about the amounts of fleece? And how do they need to be sewn?

I cut my fleece 21" wide by 30" long... fold the fleece in half short ways (so it's still the 30" long) then pin and sew a straight line... Cut off the extra and flip right side out... Put the fleece on the outside of the tube first then put it through the inside and fold the extra over the top of the tube... Your done...
