I finall have done it. Tinkerbell came to me last summer from a great lady, who also gave me her cage and some accessories. Tink is 3 going on 4 years old and has never had an issue with the ramps, but I had been warned that I should take them out for her safety. I tried taking them out and Tinkerbell seemed lost without them so I replaced them. But I have read so many stories here of chins suffering broken legs, for different reasons, and thought why leave the ramps in, as is, and possibly have something happen to Tink?
I finally purchased some fleece and hand-sewed them in place over the ramps so I can be at ease now that the ramps won't be the cause of some incident in the future. It just feels good knowing that you've done something to help keep your beloved pet safe. So I thought I would share with you guys. I've heard so much discussion about ramps, so I just wanted to share that you can keep them in place, but yet make them safer.
Now, on to fleece covered tubes!
