Flat rate box question

Quick question to all you experienced shippers out there.
Will five pounds of dust fit in a small ( 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" ) flat rate box?

No, it wouldn't fit. I'd say maybe just over a pound would fit, but not five pounds.

A small or a medium? A small is smaller than a VHS tape... you should be able to get like ten lbs. + into a medium though!

You can get 20 lbs in a medium if you try hard enough.

Dang, I didn't realize that a small really was that small! and a medium is too big oh well.

I can fit 3 1/2 lbs in a flat rate envelope which is the same price as the small flat rate box.
