I have been thinking about removing the middle floor in my FN142 for a while now. Well, I finally got a wild hair lastnight and did it. I looove it, it looks so huge! I have plenty in there to keep them from falling a long distance. Charlie and Inca seem to like it too! I'll post pics tonight!

shes probably busy watching her chinchillas play diving board I dont have a FN but my chins play diving board On purpose

Here they are!

Looks great! I have the middle out of mine too. I actually did it before I got Maci and I am so glad I did. I love watching her run circles from the bottom to top, top to bottom!

did you litter train them? because i noticed in the pictures there was that pan in the bottom with bedding in it. im thinking about litter training mine but i was wondering if it owuld be hard?

Yes, that is their litter pan! I gave them the pan and they used it...no training required! Maybe I just got lucky, but I doubt it. Good luck!!

okay thankk youuuu, allso if you let them out to play do they still use it?? haha im having problems with my chinchilla comming out to play and him peeing where ever he pleases =/

I did the same thing when Maci came home. I had the litter pan, she used it. She has never peed out of it...well except in her food

Wow, that never crossed mt mind because neither of my boys have ever peed during playtime! I dont put a pan out for them during playtime, they just wait til they get back in the cage to pee (POOP is a whole diff. story)!

okay thanks, ya the other night i had a problem with bambam peeing on my pillow!! and then the night after that is was my blankets and then last night it was some clothessss i have got to figure something outtttt!!

Do you have any problems with stuff (like poop, hay, food etc.) getting out of the cage everywhere? i noticed the floor is clean. it's just im hoping to order bass pans but there kinda expensive and if they aren't necessary i don't have to order them (which would save me like, 60 bucks)
