OMG tell me someone else has seen this before. We got a Silver Surfer wheel for her and I swear, she hops off it and I hear this scratching sound. It looks like she's filing her teeth down on the wheel.

They are so freaking weird sometimes.

I have to say, I'm a little worried about it too.

Oh that sound must be horrible....I know when my chin grinds her teeth every so often its like owwww cant imagine it on metal !

It is normal for chins to chew on everything. They need to to keep their teeth from over growing. It's just what they do and is completely normal. Mine chew on their cage wire sometimes. It won't hurt them to chew on the wheel, but if they do it a lot it could eventually damage the wheel.

some of them do chew more than others.. one of mine goes nuts on the bars sometimes, and i hate it, i'm so worried she'll break her teeth.. but like mark says, thats what they do

I should have specified, she does it when the wheel is moving! She doesn't chew, just puts her little teeth down near the wheel.

(And kind of clever if she is filing her teeth down. :p)
