Fight or fur chewing?

Ok so a lady has a pedigreed breeding pair of chins for sale. She said the male for into a fight with the baby but I am very skeptical. It looks to me like this chin is a fur chewer. What does everyone think?

It would be a weird fur chewer. It looks like the chin has been clipped like you would a dog. Very odd.

She wouldn't be able to reach there, but if she's housed with other chinchillas maybe one of them is a chewer who chews on her. Poor thing.

I am almost tempted to buy him and keep him as a pet only. The lady has extreme minimal knowledge about chins.

I agree with Dreamlite, this chin has the markings of a clipper on it's fur. It is not fur chewing.

She buzzed him! That's not a fight or fur chewing, I agree with those who already responded. My guess is she spilled something on him or he got into something or a kid took the clippers to him.

I agree with this, as I have done this myself to keep hair out of a bite wound till it clears up. Then the hair grows back eventually.

Since you can't tell much about this chin as far as breeding quality goes since it looks like crud now, I would pass on it if you are planning to breed it, if its going to be a pet it does not matter why it looks like that.
