Hey guys,
This is a weird question for you girls. My period ended about 4 days ago (during that time I always get bad cramps and light headedness). For the past couple days, I've felt like I usually do right before I start- slight light headedness, very slight cramps, stomach doesn't feel right.

Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? There is ZERO chance I could be pregnant.

Could be just "left over hormones". Have you been sick lately, or have you had a lot of stress? That could help explain the symptoms. If it continues you might want to see your dr.

Oops... haha sry, I have a tendancy to address everyone as "guys" lol

I haven't been sick lately, and I wouldn't say I've been under a lot of stress but def. more stressed than normal.

I'll give it a couple of days and see where I'm at. There has been a stomach virus going around lately and I'm hoping that's not what I'm coming down with... it's been nasty to people.

Well, you do loose a lot of blood, and often that causes the light headedness (anemia). People often take iron pills during those days.

You could always schedule to go in towards the end or right after to see what your count is.

How much water do you drink? You could be a little dehydrated, too, besides depleted of iron.

Keep an eye on this. If it continues to be a problem get in to see the doc right away. Don't let it get so bad you end up in the ER like I did. I am now on my 5th week of cramping, spotting/bleeding. I go in tomorrow to let the doc know that the new hormones did not stop the bleeding.
Hopefully this is just one of those off things bodies do.

What ever it is, I would get it checked out sooner than later. It may not be related to your period at all...

I'm anemic and have heavy periods. GREAT combo. I often have headaches, dizzy spells, etc during and a few days after my period. You might be able to take some regular over the counter iron pills and see if that helps?

Light headedness is caused by the anemia (i.e. not enough iron in your blood).
