Ok so its that time of year again! Getting ready for the new semester! So tell us, when does the new semester start for you and what are you taking!

I start Aug 24 and I am taking Police Organization and Admin, Juvenile Delinquency, and Intro to Criminology(I took this last fall and got an A but the school I transferred to didn't accept the credit. JOY)

First time I've gone to school since 2006! Should be a blast as I'll be working 2 or 3 jobs and going to school 3/4ths time this fall. Wish me luck not having an aneurysm over the course of the semester! :crazy: On a happier note, at the end of the semester I will have a 5 class technical certificate and be just 23 credit hours away from my AA! :dance3:

Oh, and if any of you happen to know a lot about grants for 20-something white males who's income actually isn't that bad, just let me know. Student aid applications being based off last years income meant that they are looking at a number well over twice as high as my current income to determine eligibility! Urgh!

I technically start September 2nd but I'll be in Europe and missing the first three days of classes! (They only give out syallbi the first couple days anyways...)

So I won't be starting until September 8th.

I'm ridiculously excited! It's my senior year and my second to last semester of Undergrad!!!

Oh my god... This thread just reminded me that by 9pm tomorrow I will be officially out of SCHOOL! Unbelievable!
The application deadline for Nursing is in October, so once I get my marks back for this term I will be applying. They also require a criminal record check, first aid certification and up-to-date immunizations which are all things I need to get together by January.
I'm sooooo excited though! I found out that my first year will be extremely light (it is only a 22 month program) since I've taken courses that transfer over.
But..... no school for me. Just working fulltime.

Have a good semester everyone! I just know I'm going to miss it (even though I'm currently working on a 10 page paper due tomorrow at noon and its 4am.. oh and I have a final at 6pm! woohoo!).

Ahhh greeeaaat. With my major 17 credits were required for first semester, and then my minor added the other 3 credits (one class), unless I decided not to graduate ontime.

Well, I guess the classes you're taking aren't too bad. My AP credits transferred so I was stuck in Organic Chem and Calc III my freshman semester. Needless to say, I didn't have a life the first few months I was married. I stayed in the TA labs. I went back and looked over the courses you're taking. You're mostly in intro courses, so it should be a breeze and if you took Bio and Chem in high school it will just be a repeat.

Yeah, I'm hoping that Bio and Chem should be fairly easy. I took both AP Bio and AP Chem my Senior year of HS and had no trouble with those classes (but unfortunately I didn't get the 4 I needed on the AP exams to get credit). So while they aren't going to be exactly the same level as college bio and chem, they will at least hopefully give me a boost in some areas. Both of my teachers were really strict about how lab reports were written, so I feel as though I won't have much of a problem with that.

nothing too exciting. well environmental law excites me but the others seem a bit bleh. ive been pretending i dont need to take physics. and since its my senior year, i finally cant get out of it lol.

I'm so glad that I am out of school. Yay. I remember what you all are going through now. It was awful. I did love Physics though...I should have been a physicist. I'm a mechanical engineer, but I am wasting all the expensive education on playing with fuzzy critters and helping with rescues.

Take my advice - get out of school and get a job and get a career going. Don't be like me! I have had to sacrifice too much and it would probably have been better for us for me to get a good job and make good money.

Oh, and enjoy your college experience. It seems hard and tedious at the time, but it's so short. Graduate school will go by in a heart beat after that... (I am so old...)
