My one chin sits on top of his house, with his back to me and faces the wall. He sits like this for long periods. I find it very strange. Does anyone else have a chin that does this?? Maybe he is comfy that way or it is darker?? I noticed him doing it a little when I separated him from his cage mate due to fighting. Now I put his cagemate in the cage NEXT to him and he does it all the time.

I have one girl that regardless of how I place her house, will turn it where the door of her house faces the wall. It is HILARIOUS. She doesn't wait until night time or anything. She starts doing it as soon as my hand leaves the cage. Takes her a few minutes of getting in there and pushing it, coming out to check her progress, then back at it.

My boy likes to sit facing the wall too, I don't know why, it's not darker or anything. His cage is in a "cubby" of the wall so the sunlight doesn't come directly in. Often he falls asleep this way. I guess maybe it's like me sleeping on one side because it is more comfortable?

Shelly loves to stare at the wall. She does it in her cage and during playtime. Chins are just funny.

Every morning when I go into the chin room to check on things, Buster's huge butt and tail are sticking out of his hidey house. All the other chins sleep with their faces showing but not him. It's like: "If I can't see you then you can't see me." He is my most peculiar chin that is for sure.

yep Liv does this too. I was actually just talking to Derek about it the other day. He'll sit in the corner on the bottom level with his tail and big butt facing forward and him facing the wall. I'll go over next to him and talk to him to see if he turns around and he just ignores me, he probably thinks he's invisible! Such silly chinnies.

I find that trixie does it when she is sleeping..and she does not want to be inside her house or hammock. She also may do it if there is a lot going on in the living room (like company) and she may be a bit shy.

When Evie was a baby, during playtime, she'd run back into the cage for a quick ten minute nap, and then come out to play again. Only, she'd put herself in the corner like a Time Out for her nap!!

She was a goofball, lol.

GiGi does this! But with her it's not so much as facing against the wall as she has to stand up and hold on to something. Usually I find her in the corner with her nose tipped up but in the corner of the cage LOL! What doofuses these chinnies are!

Hahaha, that is too funny. I bet she was being such a brat and knew it that she gave herself a time out.

raz does this too!!! i thought she was just a weirdo, but apparently this a a "norm" for chinnies. raz will put herself in the corner & hang onto the cage bars... adorable!
