Extremely short tail?!?!?

I bought a female chinchilla, wasn't really taken care of that well, But anyways her tail is about maybe 2 inches long, bairly any fur on it, and you can see her skin. Is there anything wrong, I've had her for the past 7 months, trying to fix her, is there anything wrong? Heres some pictures.

No there is nothing wrong. Chins that are born breach can have their tail pulled or chewed off. It is normal.

She probably had a portion of her tail either cut off or pulled off or it possibly was damaged at birth. That happens with chins every now and then...birth injuries to tails are pretty common. Scar tissue can build up where there was a past wound and the fur may not grow back.

I love her little stubby tail -- Little Two Paws has one, too!!!

His was a birth accident for sure, since he has only 2 paws, both on his right side, and a little nubbin on the back left.
