Ever since i put Whiskers in her new FN142 she has been excessively grooming herself. Could she maybe have gotten a disease from it? When i got it i hosed it down really well and scrubbed it but it had ferrets living in it before her.

Thanks.

Could she possibly be allergic to blue cloud cause i gave it to her for the first time like 10 minutes ago

Can you define "excessively grooming"? Is she scratching all over or on a specific part of her body or just cleaning herself?

Chins do tend to groom quite a bit after a bath - it is perfectly normal.

Well this is the first time i gave her a dust bath in her cage, and this is the first time i saw her groom anywhere but her stomach or side, she is grooming everything she can touch like her tail etc.

LOL she's making the most of her bath time by the sounds of it ;)

Ok i was a little scared. So she sounds fine? I mean she was standing on her ledge for 5 minutes doing that, the most i have ever seen was a little stomach or side licking or rubbing her face, it REALLY scared me because i thought she coulda gotten a disease from the cage.

I have 4 ferrets and they are rather smelly, I was thinking just maybe, even though you cleaned, she may smell the ferrets odor on herself.

I think you can relax, whiskers, your chin just sounds like she is enjoying making herself clean :)
