Last night I took one of my chinchillas out to dust. While she was dusting I was feeding my other chins. When I went to get her, which was like a minute later, she had escaped. I already searched my whole room, under the bed, dresser, book case, etc. She escaped one other time when I first got her and went under the other bed, I've looked under there too. I left out her dust bath in the other room along with some hibiscus flower treats. We've closed the doors to the bedrooms to try to find out where she is. But i'm worried she got downstairs and is lost somewhere down there. Any advice on how to find her would be helpful.

Hopfully she will cry out. My chinchilla's favorite game is to escape from her room and we just guide her back in after she's had her fun.

I would immediately cover any toilets, sump pumps in the basement, any holes in drywall, buckets of water, basically cut off any source of water she could fall in or any crevase she can crawl in and not get out.

One time our girl did git stuck under the diswasher and when she did get stuck she cryed out and that is how we found her. We had to partially disassemble the dishwasher to get her free.

I am hoping you found her by now.

We found her! She traveled from my upstairs bedroom downstairs to her old cage. She crawled out in front of me when I was eating. I guess she missed her old home.
