Entire Room As A Cage?

I've seen a few pictures and heard it a couple times on other forums and such about how people make entire rooms cages. Like they're rooms with not electrical sockets, a single door, and a single or no vents in the room. They attach the ledges to the walls Has anyone heard of this or do this?

I have heard of free roaming chins, thought it was not a great idea. I know my chins bore through sheet rock and anything that lines the walls so the room would be trashed. Chins like safety of a cage, IMO.

I've heard of it, but don't really see how it'd be safe due to chewing on the walls/baseboard/trim and other things.

you could wrap the walls in wire cloth to prevent the wall chewing but I'd still think they like a cage in the room they could go into to feel safe.
