My chin gave birth to two stillborns this weekend, so I took her to the vet and the radiograph showed an enlarged heart and the vet said she has a heart murmur as well. I was wondering if any of you have had a similar experience with the heart issue, what you went through, and if your chin was on any medications. Also, I was wondering if this is a common issue and if it really isn't as bad as I think it is. Thank you very much!

What class murmur and how old is the chin? It can be treated with meds, lasix and lisinopril, lasix to remove the excess fluid, lisinopril is a vasodialator to lower blood pressure. Murmurs are not diagnosed because vets don't diagnose them until there is a problem.
