We went to a charity event this weekend. There were 60 birds and 100 people at the event. There was a birdie buffet and human dinner as well as great speakers. The bird dinner was a huge success, they raised over $10,000 for the cape parrots! There were 2 capes there as well, what fun, friendly birds.

There were great chew toys on the tables, willow balls and stuff, along with tons of nutriberries and avicakes, I got about 20 packs! Also a bag of food, and I won a huge hanging foraging toy in the "guess that feather" game. That was really fun. There were tons of birds, over 50, mostly macaws. There were 3 moluccans, and Paco was by far the most well behaved. Here are some pictures of the awesome event.

Here is the birdie buffet. Paco didn't like much of it, and only picked the raisins out of the dried fruit mix. He also got some of my people food, some potatoes and bread. Spoiled, yes?

Dr. Backos wife, our vet, spoke about Avian Bio Security and what to do if the government wants to take and euthanize our birds in an emergency.

Another moluccan next to our table, she was SO loud, but kept making noises at the funniest times. Paco was afraid of her!

The guest of honor, the cape! Those are the playstands we all received, which are great! It just barely fit in the car, you should have seen the 100 people trying to get those stands in their cars at the end of the night!
