Dry skin on ear

Both of Winston's ears have dry skin, and have been like this for a short while now. His ears aren't pink or hot. They don't seem sore and he doesn't seem to be itching them.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this, and any suggestions to combat it?

The most common reason for dry skin is over bathing, how often do you offer a dust bath? Unless they are in a very humid climate they don't need to bath everyday, mine get a couple baths a week in the summer, and once a week in the winter. Bag balm works well for healing dry ears and feet, if you don't have that there vitamin E works well too. For the vitamin E you just poke a hole in a gel cap and rub the oil into the ears.

His bath is kept out of his cage, but he usually jumps in every night when he's out playing. I'll take the bath away and do as you suggested. Thank you!
