okay, the title I weird but I coulnt think of what to call this. my mom told me to make a list of sstuff I wanted to get the girls for christmas... I really like a lot of the wood stuff like the day bed and elevated getaway. shes just worried that if they peeon it it will start to smell bad. I know lots of people have them and we have just normal shelves but I didn't really know what to tell her since its a really valid point. any input here is greatly appreciated. ps sorry for the lack of capitalization and spelling. this is on my phone

My chin does not pee on the shelves, and those that do, the shelf or bed or whatever can be clean and filed down.

when chins pee on wood items you can scrub them with either a vinegar/water mix or with hydrogen peroxide. i very much dislike the smell of vinegar, so when it is time to scrub down shelves here (my boys so far have been pretty good about not peeing on shelves, just Rhino on one shelf one day, and it sanded down clean pretty good), i will be using peroxide. after the shelves have dried you can sand down any leftover stains.

I love the smell of vinegar, and tastes good too! lol I use white vinegar and water and spray mine down, and scrub. I haven't had any issues with smelly wood shelves.

Ok,thank you guys so much! Hopefully that will be enough to get her to agree!

i too have used the vin/water mix, its terrific, sometimes you might have to let it soak...
