I'm so freaking excited!! I'm finally picking them up this weekend. I think I have their cage finished finally, too. If there's something I should add or change, please let me know!

Do you think the one hidey house is enough since there will be two of them? Or should I get another smaller one to put on one of the shelves?

I have their travel cages already, pellets, dust, bath house, hay, hay cubes, and wood sticks. Am I missing anything? I want to be 100% prepared! And I'm going out of town tomorrow so I need to make sure everything is completely done tonight.

And I'm sure I'm forgetting to ask some questions that I'll probably remember later. Haha! Any additional information you'd like to pass along would also be wonderful. I've been waiting for these girls for sooooo long, and now they will finally be home with me very soon!

You guys have really helped me be so much more prepared than I would've been without you!

Gabby I think you did a wonderful job! I think you should have another hidey house incase one decides they don't want company while hiding. I am also just a strong believer in 2 of everything when dealing with 2 chins in a cage to curb any scuffles before they happen as fighting over food and water bottles is awfully common.

Thank you!

I have a second water bottle I'll be putting in tonight. I also have a heavy ceramic food dish if they decide to fight over the food. Hopefully I can run and pick up another hidey house tonight. If not, I might be able to first thing in the morning. But if I can't get one until Tuesday, they should be fine without a second house for a few days, right?

Enjoy how neat it looks now, because it'll be a mess before ya know it! :p I think you did an excellent job. I used to have that haybox...mine ate it and peed on it :( Very cute while it lasted though!

Thank you! Luckily the hay box was super cheap. I should've bought three of them at one time and saved on shipping. Haha!

I took enough pictures so I can remember what it looked like before the chinnies get to it. I'm sure they'll have tons of fun messing it up.

That looks AWESOME, Gabby! They're gona be very happy girls, :D

I think they'll be okay sharing one hidey house until you can get them another one. ;)

Thanks so much!! I hope they'll be fine for at least a few days. One can always hide under the bridge thing.

I'll try to get to the pet store tonight. I wish hubby wasn't taking a nap right now. We were going to head to the pet store, but hubby has been sleeping since 4:00, and now I think he napped so long the store is closed. Haha

I had no idea they were so young (probably posted that somewhere I havn'et read) So no need for a wheel yet... I did find that my boys need a whell a bit earlier than most people here said. They were scaring the cr@p out of me by climbing the cage walls and then letting go - CRAZY boys - that's how one got named Monkey. Anyway I was glad to have a wheel becaue even thought many people told me they were too young for it , they used it as soon as I put it in and they stopped their free falling from the top of the cage.

I'm not saying to put one in yet, simply saying it doesn't hurt to order on so when they grow to the right size they can have it.

and if they are that young I bet they'll be 100% with just one house... they'll probably be eitehr jumping off the walls or curned up together. Older chins sometimes like private space but babies are either bouncing or huddled together.

I love baby pics, can't wait to see them anjoying this great set up.

I can relate to that, :hair:

And yeah, if it's only a few days they're sharing the hidey house, they should be good. It will take them that long to explore the cage, :dance3:

It looks awesome, Gabby!!! I have been reading all your posts and I feel like I am right there with you on your journey. I am so excited for you to bring your little fuzz butts home!

I have 2 girls and 1 fleece hidey. They were always fine in it together. But I did add a fleece covered PVC tube and now very often one will sleep in that and one in the hidey. So maybe in the future you could add stuff.

And I have decided that cage design is like home ownership! There is always something you will want to change or improve. ;) Projects, projects, projects!!! It is never done! So don't put too much pressure on your self to be 100% done or perfect. The fiddling around is half the fun!

It is not so much a size issue. A kit will try to use a wheel. It is an issue of not robbing them of calories during their growing period.

Only thing I don't see that would probably be a welcome addition is a fleece tube! But even without it, it looks great!

Thank you sooooo much, everyone!! Tomorrow's the big day! I'm sure I'll have plenty of pictures to post, plenty of questions to ask, and plenty of stories to tell. :D

I cant believe how different the cage looks now :D You have done a fantastic job !!! Your chinnies are going to be very happy and im sure they will appreciate all the hard work you have done.

I agree on the fleece tunnel, my chinnies love to snuggle in them :D

Now i keep looking at my chinnies cage and thinking how can i make my cage look that good :D
