Thanks! It is fun to make stuff for the pets. I usually mix a little of what we are having with my dogs food a few times a week, as long as its not spicy or has anything dogs shouldnt have.
one of her favorite "treats" is if we make bacon or hamburgers, i save the drippings and put some on her dry food! she eats that up in a NY minute!!

I have a purebred Doberman that cannot eat dry dog food in bulk, no matter how expensive the brand. I buy him a good quality dog food and put about 1/3 portion in his bowl and 2/3 filled with homemade. His homemade is brown rice, mixed vegetables, sweet potatoes, burger(drained of fat) and yogurt. His coat is beautiful, he is at a good weight and full of energy. When we first got him at 7 months old, a rescue dog, he was underweight and had a lot of gas and diahrea. Haven't had any problems at all after we started doing a homemade diet. I make a batches that last a week at a time.
