My dog, Sakura, is turning 13 on Sat. I have never even thought about celebrating her birthday before. I figure it is more of a human thing needing to celebrate it. Sakura is my only dog I know the exact birthday on. My friend threw a birthday party for her dog once, and I thought it was kind of weird. I'm not going to sing to my dog or anything, but debated making her a dog safe cake recipe I found online. I really just want an excuse to spoil her. My dog will care less probably. She is pretty independent :p

We absolutely celebrate their birthdays! They are just as important in my life as the humans are. They get a treat and usually a special new toy! It's awesome!

yes.
for the rats they get some bday muffins.
and for the ****oo (chincihlla) he gets extra playtime and a treat we only give on special occasions. (usually a cherrio or shredded wheatie).

Yup, I celebrate my pets birthdays! I do it to give myself an excuse to spoil them even more, like new toys, chews, extra love and play time, ect.

I hate to say though, sometimes I forget. I either can't find the records to see what day we adopted them or can't find the actual day they were born. I do know the month though, so they usually get there speical treatment around the same time each year!
