Do rescues take donations of non chin items to sell for fundraising?

I was wondering if any rescues sold non chin related items to raise donation funds? I have a brand new Commuter Series Otterbox cover for an iPhone 4 I was hoping to donate to a good cause. The company replaced a broken one for me, but accidentally sent me an extra case. Since my babies are so important to me, I wanted to see if it would be possible to help a rescue in this way. Sorry if this is an odd question!

i dont see why not. Assuming you trust them enough not to take it for themselves. Or you could try to sell it off yourself and then use that
