really odd and probably stupid question!!! but this has happened 3 times before and it happened again today, I think gizmo had a hanging booger.:hmm: ...ive noticed hard brown string like thing hanging out of his one nostrel. I pick it off. Each time he has been completely normal. Eating, drinking, pooing, no discharge, no weezing, but of course i think, omg he has a cold...but im assuming it was just a booger since its happened a few times before and hes been completely fine (knock on wood) What do you think do they get boogers?

I have never seen a 'booger' on any of my chinnies noses. I would be worried that there is a discharge that is coming out of the chinnies nose and drying up. Keep a close eye on this.

Little Two Paws has had chinnie boogers all his life.

At first, I thought that he was getting a URI, but Dr. Fitzgerald said that no, it was probably mild allergies and to watch him. He usually nose swipes them off or I just wipe them off with my fingers or a tissue.

The only time I noticed mucus in my chins was when Abigail had her upper respiratory infection. It when from runny and mucusy (not a word! ) to hard and dry by the time it cleared up.

well im not sure if it is respitory problems, only because this has happened a few times over a span of a year. So i think its just boogs. But I will keep an eye out for him.

My Kiwi gets boogers all the time, only in her left nostril. I think she has mild allergies, in addition she is very sniffy - she sniffs everything and for much longer than Bella ever does. I think she may be sniffing in bits of food.

I just pick the boogers out if she doesn't get them, and she usually eats them before I can get my finger far enough away.

Therefore, her nickname is booger. Her boogers have ruined perfectly cute photos before too! (she has a pink nose, so you can see the brown booger hanging out in there)

If you have taken your chin to a vet to rule out uri, I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

booger close up!
