So, I get a text from my husband around 11 today, saying call him asap, there is a chin problem. That can never be good. He says Shelly, my very pregnant mosaic girl has a tail sticking out 1/2 inch and no contractions for an hour now. I rush out of work (45 min drive away) and get there in 25 min. I have the vet ready and I am about to bring her- my husband had a meeting he could not miss. I see her, and the foot is out! Thank goodness, I get the baby out- it was HUGE, and long and stretched out, and I thought for sure dead.

I got the sac off of the baby, and I heard a squeak! It was the happiest squeak I have heard since Pipsqueak was born. He is missing a chunk of his tail, and does seem a little slow. I had to rush back to work, but mom was cleaning him/her (I checked and forgot now in all the excitement) and everything seemed ok. I didn't feel anymore babies, but just in case my husband has the vet and she is ready. His meeting should be over soon, so everything should be (cross fingers) ok. BUT what a day, what a week! Please let this be the end of my breeding horror stories!

I am so glad to hear so far everything is ok! Keep us updated.

I feel so sorry for you. You have had the hardest time lately. :( These are the reasons I'm not ready (nor will I probably ever be) to breed. I know my heart couldn't handle it.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me a couple of times. One time I was able to help the baby like you.The other time the bumpy car ride to the emergency vet helped to pop the babe out :)

I just heard from my husband that there are now 3 babies! All healthy so far! 2 standards and a mosaic, I believe!

Congrats Chantel! Sending healthy baby thoughts your way! :)

Good for you!!! I'm sure these babies will be beautiful, wonderful, and well-loved! :)

Congratulations Chantel! I'm so happy for you, I know you've had a hard time lately <3

I do believe I'm going to have to put in some toy orders with you very soon ;)

Chantel - bad things come in 3's, but this turned out alright, thankfully! Glad you were able to get home and get things started! Another close one!!! Congrats on the trips!

Awe, the babies are so cute! Those standards are HUGE- 72 and 71 grams, and the mosaic is 60. No wonder she had troubles, and the biggest came first, and tail first. She did eat part of the tail of one, and half of the foot of the other, but they seem fine and I have blu kote I will put on it. Thank goodness I got there in time- that "momma" instinct works for chin babies too I guess! Pictures to come.

Oh wow, those are enormous babies for triplets! Must be something in the water =P
I think I speak for everyone when I say "Can't wait for pics!"

Congrats Chantel!! I'm so glad to hear some happy news for you & your husband...it's well deserved. Looking forward to seeing those pics ;)

The good thing about this is that since bad things usually do come in 3's your bad things are hopefully over with!

I've been reading about the bad times you've been having. I'm so glad your luck appears to be changing!!!
