Warning, spoiler!

So, in the books, Dexter's 'Dark Passenger' is revealed to be just that. A passenger. An ancient god [Moloch], to be precise. Who thinks this is going to be brought into the TV series? Is Showtime willing to turn their series genre into a bit of fantasy, or will they keep it strictly about him as a serial killer without any fantasy elements?
In other news, Dexter's actor Michael Hall and Debra's actress, Jennifer Carpenter, have been married since New Years. They actually eloped. Strange... their characters are siblings. :p

I hope they don't. Personally, I think it's kind of silly. And they haven't really followed the book series since the first season, it would be weird if they did all of a sudden.

I really love this show and I think what makes it work is we think of Dexter as a normal everyday guy who just happens to be a serial killer. Adding the book premise to the show takes away from that. Interesting though how we finally learn the real reason behind Harry's "Dark Passenger" phrase so often.

oh man I hope they dont....
Adding some fantasy-demon aspect is like providing an excuse or an escape hatch: like saying "hey, it's not his fault really....he's possessed...."

veerrrrry silly.....

...Think about it, using it as an excuse really would be stupid. It's like when a child would say 'The devil made me do it!'. It's taking no responsibility... So you all are right, I think it's better to keep him as a regular guy... yet secretly a serial killer. :D
